We are a women-led, Nottingham-based bike collective to support you with all your bike needs. All profits go to our projects that empower women through cycling.
We want all women to have the opportunity to access cycling. We are committed to breaking down barriers and creating spaces for women to thrive. Get in touch, get involved and get pedalling – we’d love to hear from you!
A BBC feature from a few months ago explaining a little about what we do:
We offer an affordable, excellent value bike repair service from our qualified and experienced mechanics who are all women.
We aim to get your bike back to you as soon as possible.
Dr Bike is a term used to describe our pop-up mobile bike repair session. These sessions are free of cost through funding. Imagine a mobile repair shop, equipped with tools and parts, ready to spring into action and give your bike the care it needs.

To feel confident on longer rides, it is important to learn how you bike works and how to fix some common problems – we’ve got you covered!
All courses are hands-on using a combination of demonstrations and opportunities to practice what you’ve learnt on your own bike in a group of up to 8 other women. We will provide all the necessary tools and equipment, just bring some clothes you’re not fussed about getting mucky in and your bike. If you’ve got any learning needs, just drop us a message beforehand, we do our best to cater for everyone.
Bikes can cause problems, and we like to solve them together, there’s no such thing as a stupid question and we will always go at your pace.
Classes will be led by two professional and experienced mechanic tutors. From talking to women in the community and our experience in the cycling industry (10+ years combined), we have found that women feel more comfortable engaging in mechanics when taught by another woman and we are proud that all our paid staff are women who can excel in this role.

A space that is encouraging, inclusive, empowering and fun so women can get together and feel more confident riding their bike.
All our rides are women-led.
Most rides are for women-only*.
* Feedback from our riders show they feel more comfortable in a women only space and we want to respect that.
What to expect?
A relaxed, friendly environment; we welcome women of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, we ride at the pace of the slowest rider, stop for breaks whenever you want and promise you will never be alone at the back!
One of us will lead, and another will stay at the back so we stick together as a group and nobody will be left behind. You’ll be in safe hands. We are qualified ride leaders and professional mechanics who love cycling. Before and during the ride we will be sharing all the tips and tricks to get the most out of cycling.
Snacks before stats! We’re out to have a good time so we will have several breaks to stop and chat, enjoy the view and fuel up. We’ll always bring snacks to share but encourage you to bring your own refreshments too!
Many riders come not knowing anyone, this is a great space to meet new people. You won’t need anything fancy, just a bike that rides and comfortable weather-appropriate clothing and some enthusiasm for cycling!
